Abby Seigel, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker, Clinical Therapist
About Abby
Abby is a Registered Social Worker and clinical therapist whose practice is rooted in the belief that healing unfolds through connection—within ourselves and in the relationships with others. She holds a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University.
Abby works with youth, young adults, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, attachment and relationship challenges, family conflict, feelings of low self-worth, stress, life transitions, and perfectionism. Her approach is relational, client-centered, and trauma-informed, with attention to the ways our early and present relationships, family dynamics, culture, and broader systems shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world.
Abby integrates a range of therapeutic modalities to offer holistic and individualized care. She draws from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic therapy. She integrates these approaches within a systemic and relational framework, balancing reflection with practical tools to support meaningful change in daily life.
She views therapy as a collaborative and thoughtful process grounded in curiosity, respect, and care. Abby understands that the strategies we develop to stay safe, manage difficult emotions, or feel connected often begin as protective adaptions that may later feel limiting. In therapy, she helps clients explore these experiences with compassion, creating space for new perspectives, choice, and possibility.
